EntertainmentApple TV+’s ‘Ted Lasso’ Replacement, ‘Stick,’ Loses Top Spot to the Irreplaceable OG

It did not take long for Apple TV+, after its inception in 2019, to slowly but surely prove itself to be the home of high-quality prestige television, competing with the likes of HBO and FX. Among its latest offerings is the new sports comedy Stick, which took streaming by storm for a few weeks after its debut. The comedy premiered on June 4, wrapping up its debut season run towards the end of the following month, on July 22. Sports comedies are great, mixing the intense passion and competitiveness of elite sport with humorous comedy, delivering an excellent cocktail. However, while it might have dethroned it for a time, the OG sports comedy Ted Lassois making a comeback as it has overtaken Stick in the latest Apple TV+ rankings.
